College Diploma Frames For Lasting Impressions

Friday, February 25th, 2011

In business, impressions are paramount to a successful career. The first impression is often the one that lasts and a good one will go a long way. When first meeting a potential client, it is important to present yourself in a professional manner. Key aspects such as dressing in appropriate attire, staying well groomed, and maintaining good hygiene tell the client that you take pride in yourself. A person that works hard for his or herself is likely to work hard for their clients as well. Keeping up a clean office and presentable office gives off a positive impression as well. In almost every professional office around the world, in almost every profession, one can find college diploma frames hanging on the walls. Displaying their most impressive accomplishments tells clients that they can trust their business to a person that has worked hard to achieve their position in life.

One of the greatest moments in a person’s life is when they complete their college education. For many, it is a life long goal to go to college, begin a lucrative career, and start a family. It is the American dream. That first step of completing a university education is a tremendous challenge. So when a student manages to accomplish their goal and receive a degree, the future possibilities are endless. A university degree opens so many doors. Studies have shown that a university degree will earn its recipient almost five million dollars more throughout their lifetime than a person without a degree. With all the hard work that goes into completing a degree, the graduates are worth every penny they earn.

The day graduation finally arrives is certainly a cause for celebration. Whether completing a four year bachelor’s degree or a master’s after that, it is a day to gather the friends and family to recognize all of the hard work that went into it. Then the party ends and it is time to move on to the next chapter. Although some people choose to take time to travel or volunteer around the world, for the majority of college graduates, the next step is finding a career. It is not always easy and it takes even more hard work to find the ideal career, but it is worth it in the long run.

When all the hard work pays off, it is time for the graduate to begin their new career. If they wish to establish themselves as a future success story in their chosen profession, it is important to present an image of success. One way to do that is to display college diploma frames in their new office. Whether it is a law office, medical establishment, or accountant’s office, all of the successful business people display their most prestigious honors. Clients want to know that they are dealing with a qualified individual. Otherwise, they are likely to conduct their business with someone else. It is that simple. Keeping a degree in view is like presenting a resume to potential clients. It is as important for clients to see as it is for employers. Most companies are not likely to hire someone without the desired qualifications and education. Therefore, deductive reasoning would suggest that a potential client would not want to do so either.

Impressions are everything in the professional world. People do not want to do business with under qualified individuals, which is the reason a company will not hire them. When setting up the new office and establishing a career, it is a good idea to display college diploma frames. They provide legitimacy to any career. Since clients are not likely to ask for a complete resume, a degree on the wall will tell them they have found the right person for the job.

College Vs Self Education

Monday, February 21st, 2011

Thanks Jim Rohn. I love the quote from the book, Twelve Pillars, “College will make you a living. Self education will make you a fortune.” This idea has set us free.

I have been fortunate enough to have a college education. In fact, I spent almost ten years dedicated to the system that would give me the “brass ring”. College is an expensive venture. You are required pay up front for education that you apply later. In some cases, people rack up $100,000+ bill that they have to scramble to pay off with their new “job”. I know people who are skimming by trying to get the 10+ year debt paid off. I was also lucky enough to study a topic I absolutely love, art, more specifically graphic design. In school I was a sell out to all the other fine artists for “making a living” off of my art. I have had a good, some would even say, great career with my college degree. Interestingly enough, it didn’t have the power to set me free.

Self education has always been a passion of mine. I love to read to expand my knowledge. I have been moved off of my couch to take action by the things I have read. Self education allows me to learn and apply the skill immediately. Of course, I like to apply my new found knowledge the minute I have learned it. Some might call me crazy stretching my limits. As I write this most people are in bed. I find this time is peaceful and inspiring, and a time to apply myself to my passion and causes. So this path of self education brings with it some challenges, and brings with it hope. It brings with it an incredible amount of wisdom to help me reach my goals. I have had two simple goals since I was a child. I want to spend my time with my kids at home. I want to travel and work from anywhere in the world.

I am extremely fortunate to share my passion with my husband. We found that through this self education, we are set for life. Our dreams are goals with time lines. They have become reality, and completely attainable. If we had settled for less, we would have regrets. Our self education has taken us on the new frontier, the internet. We have become skilled internet marketers who help others learn the same thing. We can do it from anywhere in the world. Our system works while we play with our kids.

To say “self education rocks” is an understatement! It is just as challenging as college. I would say it even tests you more. But what an awesome journey. The view is incredible, and the person it makes you become is even better than you could have imagined. At this point with all of our early goals so easily reached, we are focused on helping others reach their goals. It is our turn to help others “self educate” and give back.

College Preparation For Average Students

Monday, February 21st, 2011

Are you a straight A’s student? Do you have an average GPA of 4.0? Then this article is not for you. Please read the title again. It is college preparation for “average” students. And no I am not joking. It is possible!

The very first thing that comes to our mind when we hear the word ’scholar”ships is that it is for quintessentially for “scholars” right?

Wrong.

You could not be farther from the truth. Scholarships, financial aids, grants, or by whatever name you put it, for colleges, depends solely upon the sponsor. It depends upon what kind of abilities the sponsor is looking for in you that will make you deserve to use his money. Although intelligence quotient comprises a large percentage of the abilities being talked about here, not all of them are looking for straight A’s students.

In fact a staggering 95% of the students in our country have an average grade score of a B at the very best. But this by no means suggests that all hopes are gone for these students. So if you are one of these students who has been spending sleepless nights, tossing and turning in your bed wondering how to pay for your college education, Do not worry! It is very much possible for you to find financial aid for your college.

There are actually many ways by which you can get the money for the college of your choice. The problem is not about implementing them, the problem is knowing about them, because there are very few people who know about it themselves! The reason why I had come to know about them because a few years ago even I was in the same soup in which you are today. But let us see the information I came across:

1. Firstly. Get this into your head that there are scholarships and grants available, and you need not have an average GPA of 4.0 to get it.

2. Secondly: Good news for all girls out there! Are you a woman? Do you belong to any minority group? Are you a working mom? Or are you a single mother? Rejoice! It is easier for you to get a scholarship if you fulfill the above criteria. But this does not mean that that there are no options available for those men who do not belong to any minority group. There are many options available for you.

3. Thirdly, try looking for information regarding scholarships on government websites. Our government offers a number of educational scholarships and you need not be Einstein in order to qualify for them. A particular website where a lot of information regarding this can be found is the governments’ website, FAFSA. FAFSA.edu.gov is the website where you can go and apply for the Pell Grant scholarship. Are you into teaching? Then there is a special $4000 grant available just for your taking. And the best part about a grant is you need not bother about its repayment!

4. What you must remember is that the government is not the only place where you can find the money to fund your college. There are a number of private organizations today. They provide free grant and scholarship to the amount of millions of dollars each year for students to pay their college fees. There are many websites that collect all the information about private scholarships. They also offer great advice on how you can qualify for the various scholarships that are available.
