These days the media and society would like us to think that if we don’t have a high school diploma that we are stuck to doing minimum wage jobs forever. I am here to tell you that who ever says this is either lying or stupid. I can confidently say that there are many, many jobs that require no high school diploma, because I myself have one of these jobs. The hard part about getting a job that doesn’t require a high school diploma is wading through the junk and scams on the internet to uncover the real, honest jobs
Last year I was in a situation, which is probably very similar to the situation that you are in right now. I was 19, no high school diploma and working at the local EB Games for near minimum wage ($9.00/hour) However, in the back of my head I knew that I deserved more than that. I knew that there must be away to make a decent living, with the limited education that I had. I had heard about all kinds of people making money on the internet so it was the first place I looked.
When I started looking I had no problems finding online jobs, infact I had the complete opposite problem. There were so many different jobs online that I had no idea where to start. I had also heard about internet scams before so I was very apprehensive about trying these jobs.
The first thing I tried online was actually selling things on ebay. I made a some money selling things around the house that I didn’t use. But you could hardly call this a real job because I quickly ran out of things to sell. The next thing I tried was pay per click advertisements. This is when you get payed for clicking on ads. This seams like a good job at first but when I found out that you get something like $0.01 for every click I realized how useless that pay per click ads were.
The only good thing that came from me trying pay per click ads were that one of the ads were for an online survey company. This ad claimed that I could make $20 for every survey I complete. So I decided to investigate more about online surveys.
Unfortunately I found out the hard way that not all survey companies are legitimate survey companies. But eventually I did find a survey company that payed me an average of about $15 for every survey that I completed. This was a great job because I was getting payed for giving my opinion. However I soon realized that there was a limit to how much I could earn. So after a few months of earning a side income through surveys I was ready for bigger things.
This is when I discovered affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is when you refer potential customers to products. You get payed if someone you referred buys a product. When it comes to affiliate marketing there is no limit to how much you can earn, you decide when you want to work and the only education you need is being able to read and write in English. When I heard about affiliate marketing I knew that this was the job that I had been waiting for. So the first thing I did was look for some ebooks that could help me get started in affiliate marketing.
